Skylight shades need to be mounted inside the window frame. Usually, mounting shades flush with the wall (or ceiling) as shown in the photo above provides easier operation and a more solid installation. This positioning also usually gives plenty of room for protruding cranks. You may also order T-handles if your crank is in the way.

Skylight shades are available in the greatest size range when the application is between 15 and
75 degrees. For extremely small angles (as in a flat ceiling) or vertical applications (a regular window in a straight wall) the maximum widths and lengths are less.
