1. Why Does My Shade Look Too Short?

If you’ve just opened your shade and it looks a little shorter than expected— don’t panic! This is especially common with cordless cellular shades, and it’s due to something called fabric memory. Because the fabric has been tightly compressed for shipping, it can temporarily hold a shortened shape.
Here’s how to fix it:
- Gently pull the shade away from the window sill.
- With your hands, slowly glide up and down the folds of the fabric, encouraging it to extend.
- In most cases, it’ll stretch out to its full length after a few minutes.

2. Where Do I Install Brackets on a Motorized Cellular Shade?

When it comes to motorized cellular shades, bracket placement matters. One of the most common mistakes is mounting the brackets directly over the motor housing— this can interfere with performance and make future maintenance a hassle.
Instead:
- Identify the blank (non-motorized) areas along the headrail.
- Place your brackets in these spaces, leaving the motor itself unobstructed.
Following this tip makes sure your motor operates quietly, smoothly, and without unnecessary strain.
