A Safety Note for Cord Loop Shades & Chain Operated Shades

You may have noticed that Cord Loop and Chain Operated shades come with a tensioning device already installed on your cord or chain.
As of June 1, 2024 this tensioner is required by law as a child safety device. It must be secured either within your window frame or on the trim/wall outside of the window opening for the shade to operate properly.

By design, the tensioner cannot be removed without breaking it, and it should not be removed as it will affect the operation of your shade. Tension on the operating components is required for the shade to function as intended.
